June Newsletter

Exeter and Exmouth TAGB Tae Kwon Do

As we move into the heart of summer, June has given us a welcome pause in the busy Tae Kwon-Do calendar. With no competitions or gradings scheduled, it has provided valuable time for students to focus on their training without the usual pressures. This month has been about steady progress, personal development, and preparing for the exciting events just around the corner.

A Quieter Month, A Focused Effort

June has been a quieter period for the club, but by no means a less productive one. Without major events on the schedule, students have taken the opportunity to refine techniques, build strength, and reflect on their training. This focused, consistent effort is essential for long-term improvement, and it has been great to see everyone making the most of it.

A New Arrival!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Mr. Cheriton and his partner Harriet’s daughter, Florence! Both Harriet and Florence are doing very well, and Mr. Cheriton is currently on paternity leave, spending quality time with his family. Our warmest congratulations go to them—we look forward to meeting Florence soon!

Club Demonstration at Bowhill Primary School
A group of our students—both juniors and adults—recently took part in a demonstration at Bowhill Primary School’s Summer Fete. Led by Mr. Thomas, the team delivered an impressive display of patterns, line work, and sparring to an audience. The event was a great success, and we are extremely grateful to all those who gave up their evening to take part—whether as students or supportive parents.
If your school has a summer fete or similar event coming up and would be interested in a Tae Kwon-Do demonstration, please speak to one of the instructors. We’d be happy to see if we can attend.
