Autumn is here, and this time of year is especially busy for the club! There are lots of exciting challenges ahead for everyone to work towards. After a well-earned summer break, it was fantastic to see everyone back last month, fully recharged and ready for the next challenge!

Summer Social

Black Belt Grading 

A huge congratulations to Megan and Evie, who successfully completed their black belt pre-grading last Sunday! Well done to both— this is the first step toward earning their black belts. Their main grading is scheduled for the weekend of the 19th of October, so be sure to wish them luck next time you see them in training! 

Club Kit

We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes bringing our new club kit to life. The first order of training tops has been placed, and those who ordered will receive them just in time for this weekend’s competition! The next order will include the release of the new club t-shirt, along with an exciting sneak peek at our new club dobok! 

Southern Championships (5th October)

Our favourite local competition is here, and we have 20 competitors ready to take on the challenge! Good luck to everyone attending this Saturday—you’ve all worked incredibly hard to prepare, and now it’s time to showcase your skills! Following the competition, we have a club meal at the Cat & Fiddle from 6pm onwards, and we look forward to seeing many of you there!

Black Belt Training (6th or 12th October)

This month offers an opportunity for black belts to obtain their second stamp of the year. Please ensure all black belts have booked onto one of the training sessions on either the 6th or 12th of October to get their stamp. You can book through: www.taekwondosouthwest.co.uk/events.

New Students

We’ve been working behind the scenes to promote the club and bring in new students. You may have noticed some new faces at training recently, as more students join to try Tae Kwon-Do. Let’s continue to make them feel as welcome as possible! We’re a friendly and supportive club, so be sure to help them settle in—remember how nervous you were when you first started!
